Case Study
"The data finally speaks one language."
The Challenge
Two teams. Two rooms. No shared picture.
Ngee Ann Polytechnic is one of Singapore's five polytechnics — a 30+ building campus with tens of thousands of students and staff.
Before TwinLogic, NP's security team operated around the clock. Their facilities management team worked office hours. The two sat in separate rooms, monitored different systems, and had no shared view of what was happening across campus.
When a fire alarm triggered, a guard physically walked to the nearest panel, read it, then travelled to the next building to investigate. An alert in the BMS didn't connect to the CCTV feed for that zone. Data existed everywhere. Understanding existed nowhere.
The Solution
One room. One screen. Seven systems unified.
TwinLogic connected seven building systems — CCTV, water metering, BMS (fire, HVAC), power, smart toilets, access control, and lifts — into a single digital twin.
A curved video wall now shows the entire campus at a glance. When an alarm fires, the digital twin surfaces the affected zone in 3D, pulls up the relevant CCTV feed, and pushes a step-by-step response guide to the security team's phones — all within seconds.

The Results
The numbers speak for themselves.
23%
Energy Reduction
Campus consumption fell from 27,419 MWh (2019) to 21,122 MWh (2023). Energy Utilisation Index: 62, against a sector average of 110.
23%
Manpower Reduction
Facilities headcount from 50 (2018) to 38.5 (2024), heading to 34.5 by 2028. Data-driven operations manage a naturally retiring workforce.
20–25%
Faster Security Response
Automated alerts with precise location data reach the right personnel immediately. New staff respond with the confidence of veterans.
71%
Fewer Service Complaints
Smart occupancy sensors replaced fixed cleaning schedules with on-demand deployment. Complaints fell from 237 (2019) to 68 (2022).
$71K
Annual Direct Savings
Contracted electrical capacity reduced from 8,300 kW to 7,300 kW, generating direct savings on standing charges every year.
